A new study released by the Council for Research Excellence revealed that the average American is exposed to 61 minutes of TV ads and promotions a day. That includes television screens, digitally delivered movies and mobile phone video clips. Are people sick of seeing so many ads? Not really. The study goes on to reveal that the average adult watches about 8.5 hours of video per day. About five of those hours are spent watching live television. Adults watched a mere 2.4 minutes of video on their computers.

Television continues to be king of all media, with the computer knocking radio out of second place. Print ranks fourth. TV accounted for 99% of all video consumed in 2008. The 18 – 24 year old demo gobbled up 98% of their video in front of a TV screen.
